John Fenton's advice to canons

John Fenton, who died recently, was for a long time a Canon at Christ Church, Oxford, and as a result of long experience drew up the following advice for canons.

It's certainly not that simple in the case of Africa, because to catch up with the west economically, using the logic of capitalism, they'd needto find a well populated landmass no one had noticed that was virgin territory to export to.

Even if you teach a man to fish, the west still sells all the fishing rods.
