Fr. John Whiteford's News, Comments, & Reflections: At least we'll get to see him killed in the 6th movie

I wondered why I didn't like Dumbledore in the most recent Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the goblet of fire.

I fouund the answer here:

It turnms out that the actor who replaced Richard Harris hadn't evern read the books -- and it shows!

But he read his part of the screenplay.

He was only interested in playing his role, claiming his credit of featuring in the Harry Potter Classic film and collecting his fees. Finis.

God bless.

A couple of dayes ago someone told a story about Star Trek -- the scrip[t had 2^80 -- that is, 2 to the 80th power, some kind of huge astronomical distance, and the actors read it as "two hundred and eighty".

Reading the script without knowing the story makes for unconvincing acting.

Apparently, Michael Gambon (Dumbledore version 2.0) also doesn't think the books have any meaning other than being fun little escapist magic stories.

Clearly, he's deranged.
