I disagreed with the Freudian slant of the book but it was quite helpful in some ways.<br /><br />I have noticed that people who do read them get a sort of far-away look in their eyes, and say "you must read this book, it'll change your life". Whenever anyone tells me that some quick fix will change my life, I get suspicious.
